Introduction
Vixbee allows you to use templates for commercial purposes under specific conditions. Understanding what qualifies as commercial use ensures you stay compliant with our licensing terms and protects the rights of creators.
What Counts as Commercial Use?
Commercial use refers to any project or content intended to:
- Promote a business, product, or service.
- Generate income, directly or indirectly.
- Be used in advertisements, marketing campaigns, paid promotions, or client projects.
Examples:
- Social media ads for a brand.
- Business website graphics.
- Presentation decks for paid consulting services.
- Printed flyers for product sales.
Using Free Resources for Commercial Purposes
- Free resources cannot be used for commercial purposes unless you upgrade to a Pro subscription.
- Free templates are limited to non-commercial, personal, or educational projects.
Using Pro Resources for Commercial Purposes
- Pro templates grant you commercial rights as part of your subscription.
- You can modify, adapt, and use the templates across multiple commercial projects without needing extra permissions.
- Attribution is not required for Pro templates.
Important Restrictions
Even under commercial use rights, the following are strictly prohibited:
- Reselling or redistributing templates as standalone products, even with minor edits.
- Superficial modifications (such as changing text, font, color, or minor layout tweaks) do not qualify the template as "new work" for resale purposes.
- Repackaging, bundling, or sublicensing templates for free or paid distribution.
- Selling templates on marketplaces (such as Canva, Creative Market, Etsy) without creating substantial original work that significantly transforms the base design.
- Using templates as the primary value of a commercial product (e.g., just slightly altering a resume template and reselling it as your own design).
In short: "If the base structure and design are clearly recognizable, it cannot be sold."
Quick Reminder
Commercial use is permitted only with an active Pro subscription and must comply with fair use and creator protection rules. Respect the original work — build your business on creativity, not shortcuts.
