Introduction
While Vixbee encourages creative freedom with our templates, there are important restrictions that protect both the platform and our contributors. Violating these restrictions can result in account suspension, removal of content, and legal action.
Prohibited Actions
Regardless of your license type (Free or Pro), you are strictly prohibited from:
- Reselling templates as standalone products (even with minor modifications).
- Redistributing templates on other marketplaces or platforms.
- Uploading templates to free or paid template libraries without significant transformation.
- Offering templates as freebies (even if edited slightly) on your own website or social media.
- Using templates to create NFT products or any blockchain-based assets.
- Claiming the original template as your own design without substantial modification.
Clarifications on Modification
- Superficial edits (e.g., changing colors, fonts, resizing elements) do not qualify as "creating a new original work."
- To legally offer a work derived from a template, it must involve substantial creative effort, with noticeable and meaningful transformation.
Fair Usage Reminder
- Templates must be incorporated into a final product or project, not extracted and redistributed.
- Always ensure that templates serve as supportive assets in your work, not the main value being sold.
Examples of acceptable use:
- Embedding a social media template into a fully branded campaign.
- Incorporating a presentation template into a full business proposal for a client.
Examples of NOT acceptable use:
- Selling a template as an editable file with minimal edits.
- Uploading a slightly modified template to Canva Marketplace, Etsy, or similar platforms.
Quick Reminder
Respecting these restrictions helps protect the creative community and keeps the marketplace thriving for everyone. Vixbee reserves the right to take action against any violations without prior notice.
